About NSCAFolded Corner: Curriculum

NSCA stands for Bible-centered and Christ-centered approach to education.

For elementary and select middle school grades, NSCA uses the A BEKA Books curriculum from Pensacola Christian Schools, Florida. The curriculum is traditional in approach. Reading is taught phonetically. Most of the textbooks used are either published by or recommended by A BEKA Books.

For high school and select middle school grades, NSCA uses the Bob Jones University curriculum. It fosters critical thinking skills and has superior Biblical integration in each subject.

Other sources are used when deemed appropriate by the Board. NSCA realizes the need to utilize secular materials in some cases in order to standardize academic work.
Folded Corner: NYS Regents

Students who are interested in taking the NYS exams for a regents diploma may do so, although this is not specifically required by NSCA. Exams are typically administered in June. NSCA does not teach to these tests, but the curriculum meets or exceeds state standards.
